Veg Life have cracked it! Vegan Scotch Eggs!!

Ok let's work from the outside in. 

The 'meat' wrapping is is TVP* based spiced with coriander, ginger, mace, nutmeg and black pepper for that tasty sausage meat taste. Nice. Perfect. Let's move onto the inside. 

*(textured soya protein) tastes better than it sounds. An old school vegan staple you can get in store. Great mince replacement for chilli, bolognese, shepherds pie etc



Look at that 'egg'. It's perfection! No overcooked grey smelly egg. 

This is made with soya, potato and lentils. We've tried them (check out or taste test) and it has a proper boiled egg texture. Well. From what we can remember them being like. 

Now on to the flavours! 


 

They make two more flavours we don't have yet. 

Jambo - East African curry flavoured exterior made with curried spinach, ginger, coriander, cumin and mustard.

Taste of the East - flavoured with chilli, garlic, shallots and Thai basil.
